Morning out bush

Post  Lucky strike on Sat Dec 28, 2013 11:45 pm

Hello everyone, hope everyone had good and safe Xmas. Well Boxing Day I decided to head out bush for a little bit of detecting. It was early morning and the ground was cool just a light drizzle of rain as I arrive. Well I pulled up at a usual place to give the gpx 5000 a bit of run with the 11 inch mono, at first I managed to dig out bits of trash. As the morning progressed the gpx 5000 was humming along quite nicely nothing like the previous week which their was a lot of things interfering with the machine. Much to my surprise and then along came a a slight signal from the ground after 8 inches of dirt removed up came a nice little nugget. I decided to carefully detect the surrounding area and another 3 little beautiful nuggets came to the surface. So only after a couple of hours the heat was getting to me and I decided to call it quits for the day. All in all a nice quick trip with the total weight 1.12g. Not heavy by any means but it still put a smile on my face. When I learn how to put up photos on this forum I will not sure how to at this stage. Till next time Happy prospecting everyone.
