My new forum expereince

Post  Aussiefind on Tue Aug 18, 2015 1:02 pm

Hi All,
I am new to the forum today and hope to gain some knowledge by reading your posts. I have found gold before (many years ago as a teenager) with my old man, unfortunately I have not trampled the ground for some time (20yrs) after my dad died (he was the inspiration). I am in Perth WA and are starting a new era of prospecting for myself and my 12 yr old boy.

I am planning to head towards Kalgoorlie area in Oct15, can someone assist with the best way to identify crown land or land under application so I can identify a place to try and be up to date with licenses and any applications.

I am reading heaps of handheld gps, I will be hiring a unit for the first trip, any suggestion on the best hire unit to secure - I have limited knowledge on units and operation, used the old WHITE detectors in the past.

If someone else is new and lived close to Perth - happy to join up to discuss options, trips etc

Many thanks Steve

Miners right in hand

Got to love the Tengraph system, makes it easy to identify current licenses, and potential areas to detect.

Heading of 26th Sept for a couple of weeks, GPX5000 in hand and just can't wait.
