Pretty shiny, must have been in acid. Looks practically polished.

If it's on the PMAV page you would think it's legitimate.
Why in this day and age people cannot take a decent picture?
They can now afford to purchase a decent camera/phone...... Very Happy
Cheers and congratulations to the lucky finder.

Nah it wasn't mine this time. Wink

Now pay attention, I can confirm 4 things,
but keep it under your lid.

1) It was found at 20 feet depth.
2) Dug with an excavator
3) From a mining lease in central Vic.
4) Guy who found it, first name begins with S V48

4.3kg = 4300g

4300g divide by 31.10 = 138.26 OZ

138.26 OZ x $1577.80. = $ 218,146.62

G'day Trent,

I was wondering what happened to your post, as all I saw was the full stop, Nothing before it. Yes some times you write a long post and you go to post and the whole thing is gone. Times out. Shocked

The best way to tackle these is to copy your long post beforehand and if it times out, then you simply paste it in again and it's done. sunny

Sorry Gentlemen, But In the Picture that you are talking about it was "NOT" cleaned with Acid,,, That is the Cheap Camera Flash causing it to look like that,, And so far "ALL" of the comments posted are Incorrect,

Also the Fate of this Nugget has "NOT" yet been decided, As the Finder just wants to Savour the Moment.

and the Finder thanks everyone for their patients.

Hi Ridge Runner....Picknshuffle  knows about the nugget and says in their post above it was dipped in acid, that's why members have commented. On the PMAV webpage, the quality image of the nugget and its surface suggests it has had a quick swim in acid....not too long though. The biggins should not go in acid at all, leave them with dirt in the hollows even...let the buyer clean it to the level they want.
Congrats to the finder.

Well regardless of what the PMAV says on their site the Owner has told me that when that picture was taken that it had not yet been placed in Acid and was in fact pressure washed and the Photos I have confirm this. How ever it will need to be cleaned and I am sure that more up to date pictures will be released shortly.

As for the Details and the Pictures, Like the Nugget it's self they remain the property of the Owner and I will post them when I have the finders permission,

As for all the other comments As I posted before they are incorrect. and it would be improper to claim otherwise.

All good Ridge Runner. I and my family have been lucky enough to be able to sell half a dozen big slugs to collectors and via theTucson gem show. They all like to see dirt on the nugget and even loose quartz in any cavities. So I am just saying if you see your mate beg him not to clean it any more.
