Hi Ridge Runner....Picknshuffle  knows about the nugget and says in their post above it was dipped in acid, that's why members have commented. On the PMAV webpage, the quality image of the nugget and its surface suggests it has had a quick swim in acid....not to long though. They should not go in acid at all.
congrats to the finder.

Well regardless of what the PMAV says on their site the Owner has told me that when that picture was taken that it had not yet been placed in Acid and was in fact pressure washed and the Photos I have confirm this. How ever it will need to be cleaned and I am sure that more up to date pictures will be released shortly.

As for the Details and the Pictures, Like the Nugget it's self they remain the property of the Owner and I will post them when I have the finders permission,

As for all the other comments As I posted before they are incorrect. and it would be improper to claim otherwise.
Hi John
I don't want this to turn into a slinging match, as for whether or not the nugget has been washed in acid.

I am guessing you have seen this lovely nugget?
Or you are really good friends with the finder

In the mean time, once the Eureka Echo comes out, we shall all know the story of this nugget.

They all like to see dirt on the nugget and even loose quartz in any cavities. So I am just saying if you see your mate beg him not to clean it any more.

To be honest this is Torture and I am dying to post the pictures and info as and when the Finder says so,

I can't imagine the Shock they got when that last shovel of dirt came out, But from all accounts this Bloke has earn't this nugget a dozen times over Bless him.

Now pay attention, I can confirm 4 things,
but keep it under your lid.

1) It was found at 20 feet depth.
2) Dug with an excavator
3) From a mining lease in central Vic.
4) Guy who found it, first name begins with S .

Now back off, the prize is mine. Err,, what do we win by the way?

NO, it was not found 20 feet deep.

And it was Found with a detector fairly Deep down,

I wish people would stop making up their own versions of Events, The details of this Nugget are a Private matter, So again Let it Drop.

I hope you and yours have a Happy Christmas too,

I put up the pictures of the claim and a picture of Syd with the nugget a short time after he found it. We had 20000 views in two days so most of you would have seen them. They are on the Bendigo Prospecting Club Facebook site.
The nugget came back to a wisker over 4kg after it was cleaned. Deano will be making a Copy/ Replica

Hi Rwork. Unless his modded GP Extreme includesa GPX faceplate (rear end cap) that can't be an Extreme... In the pics shown, he is using a GPX

That may not be Syd down the hole. He told me what he used to find the lump. I think after he purchased two 5000 fakes he may have ended up with a real one as well.
