Thanks guys, that was last season 2016, and yes it will be good to have another crack at it this year

G'day GB

Yes the ground is hot, the first year 2015 the 7000 would not work there at all, I ended up digging targets for veronica while she used the 2300

But last year 2016 which was after the software upgrade and ferrite etc it was no problem and even after all the rain it worked really well, mind you the ground drained well down through all that gravel, and goodness knows where the bottom is, it just drains and has an even moisture dampness.

cheers dave

Yes Detectist it had dried out, probably a week or so since it rained in the video. It was just slightly evenly damp by that stage. Very Happy

Nightjar we are looking for a good 2017 fingers x Very Happy

Hey Adrian I would do that but it's a bit difficult on a mobile phone especially when you just decide hey this might be an alright signal and get out the mobile and start filming, ya get what ya get. Laughing

Good video. The wind is tough sometimes. But your video would come out full screen if you held your phone sideways. Just a tip. Lots of folks have no idea about the tip.

Ok, just goes to show you can learn something everyday, thanks for the tip, I wondered why it was narrow like that and some other videos I have are (wide screen) thanks ARIZONA

Gee...that looks exactly like my pick lol!  Only difference being, I dont get a six gram nugget on the other end of it Rolling Eyes Just fly shyte. Yesterdays effort after detecting to after midnight ( half moon) ended up with 17 pieces for......1.21 grams. affraid So nice score mate T06  I had no sound at all on the vid when I watched it scratch  Maybe that was a blessing. What really stuck out for me was what a b**tard the Zed is for pin pointing, even with the target out of the ground & why I carry my Gold Bug 2 (more for when I am up to my arm pits down in a hole trying to get an accurate location on the target....& to re scan the hole & dig out pile before back filling so I can find even smaller fly shyte to what the Zed already finds) I also use the bug 2 for its discrimination but being the sucker I am I still end up digging a crap signal....because you never know..... it could be masking a gold signal. Has happened too often for me to leave a crap target in the ground. Rolling Eyes Ended up  V11  an almost 3 foot deep hole,  V51  the bug 2 was telling me it was crap, but I kept at it  V32  being the I***t I can be. Turned out to be an old old pocket knife. It was not in the best of condition having been buried since the mid to late 1860's. There was no gold signal to follow.  V27
Your pick really does make short work of getting in to the ground. What a blessing after putting up with my stubby picks & skinned knuckles on far too many occasions. Cheers Dave.

Good luck out there

Thanks JW, I knew you would like the new pick. Very Happy and your right it makes short work of digging.

Pin pointing Laughing yes that was a very ordinary effort. Laughing and after a couple to thousand nugget finds with the mighty 7000 I mostly get the target in the scoop a lot quicker that that. I notice that if you don't get it in the first few scoops then you have pushed it around and buried it under more of the loose dirt. Laughing

Mate you might not get many 6 grammers but you have way better scenery going by the pictures you often post up. Very Happy

In the area that video was taken the best I did was 6 out of one hole, which ended up about 2 foot deep, I love that gravel. Very Happy

cheers dave
