Hi Tim
I reckon it would not be too bad tomorrow ( tuesday ) for a detect, if you head out early, as once it hits around 2 in the afternoon it gets a tad warm/hot and muggy

Wait and see what a few of the other members think.

Chers Tim

I was out at Talbot all day today and everything was fine. Very little water around. It was a great day for detecting. Just watch out where you dig, I have been having some stomach problems for the last week.

Hi Tim

If you have the day off, and you are bored.
Go for a drive to the goldfields you want to detect in
Enjoy the being out in the bush.

After tomorrow the weather will start to warm up more..
So go for it TIM
Just go out and have some FUN

Tim, to get the weather conditions for the area you want to detect just go into your browser and type in Maryborough weather, Wedderburn weather, etc. and then go to the WEATHERZONE.COM.AU listing. It will give you the weather for the next 7 days. You can even put a shortcut on your desktop if you go to an area regularly. Keep an eye on the day you wish to go out because the predicted forecast can change dramatically the closer it gets to the day.

As for detecting in hot weather, I would only suggest detecting on days above 30 degrees if you have been regularly detecting in heat. I have been out in heat up to 36 degrees but only because I had detected regularly in gradually increasing temperatures. I haven't done that this year because I have had breaks of several weeks without detecting and to go out into 30 degree heat without acclimatising really saps it out of you. If you don't detect regularly in high heat then I would suggest your cut off temperature should be around 27/28 degrees. Heat stroke is a hell of a thing to get hit with. One other thing is apart from the heat, you will use more energy getting that pick into the ground because it is so hard.

I hope this helps.

Regards Axtyr.
