Mother nature

Post  slimpickens on Sun Mar 12, 2017 9:43 am

Wonder what this poor soul died of? ..............................................Loneliness I hope. Twisted Evil
It's body was totally decayed but complete, and nothing had the need to rip it up and eat it.

And a photo of its fangs

It was only about 2 foot long Mike, on a gully floor, far from any track, Who knows. Fangs were only about an 1/8' of an inch long, I reckon you'd get away with it if you were wearing jeans and it had a go at you.

The head shape and noted length makes it look very much like a Death Adder.
If so, it would not require fangs much longer, their strike is hard and vicious with the venom extremely toxic.
Am still waiting for a coolness in the weather before I head off for a detect. Our granite/slate country is a haven for the buggers.
Good pic. though, best way to be greeted by one Cool
Mike

Just looking at the indents in the ground around it, to me it looks like it may have been stomped to death by an emu or kangaroo.

Had a Death Adder under my car, it had to go, too close for comfort. I was camped there.
