Surviving in the bush -- at least we have a pick

Post  Imadogman on Mon May 01, 2017 10:58 pm

Aboriginal ladies survive after car breaks down and no water.

Not sure how I would go.  EPIRB check.  Satellite phone, Check.  Two cars, check

Yes they may know how to survive in the bush, but they didn't have to if they knew how to maintain a vehicle and ensure that it is worthy of a trip into the bush. Just my thoughts.

spot on Rockhunter....Can't believe the angle on the story.....it's not one of survival it's one of stupidity....no diesel..no water...no communications....and on and on. See it here almost all the time...sorry...but I don't have a lot of respect for modern day abs.

At first i thought you were being a bit harsh Goldtalkleonora.

But if you see really preventable stupidity happening all the time, i can understand your feelings on the matter.

As a matter of interest, what have you seen out there? cheers Pete.

Words fail me. Rolling Eyes..Almost.

They were stupid to go out there so unprepared...because none of them for-saw any difficulty. Duuuuh
Car broke down..No food ..No water.. No nothing..Didn't tell anybody where they were going.
They survived because somebody went out and found them....otherwise they would be dead.

It's their country. They survived cause they are in their country.
Hate to see how they would have gone if they broke down
In a woolies car park.

I wouldn't say it is their country any more than it is ours.
Like us, they are of varying racial groups who came here from somewhere else as is the case with all people in every country in the world and took it from whoever was here before them.
It is our country and their country now for as long as we can hold it away from future invaders like the Chinese, Muslims, Indians or Nks etc.

How long do you reckon the Chinese, Muslims, Indians etc would recognise Australian Aboriginal land rights if those people got a controlling hold on Australia.....About 10 seconds flat at a rough guess.

Anyway that is off the track a bit. Those ladies survived because they had enough knowledge to keep themselves going for longer than most of us would have managed in the same circumstances. Plus being found helped a bit aye?

Once they found the water, they could have survived for ages.

Have just checked your posts, no moderator has touched or deleted any of them, your response to Pete simply wasn't delivered as far as I can see. Harry

You missed my point Adrian.
It's their country as in its where they live and what they know.

Nothing deeper.
