Joe,

access to Mt. Talbot can be bought at the nearby Forsayth caravan park, something like $10/day.

We drove in to Mt. Talbot yesterday and the grass and weeds this year are too thick for detecting IMO,

Hi Mate,
Just came back from Mt Hogan. Farmers are having a bumper year with grass over your knees. Good for them not so good for detecting. Similar area Sth from you.

Apparently, if you stay in Forsayth Caravan Park you can get permission to detect at Mt Talbot.  A friend who did this recently said he was directed to an area near the "red gate" but every man and his dog is told the same thing.  He had no luck on the property.

I spent two weeks at Dells Hole and picked up 17 grams but, as said prior, the grass is quite long and you do a fair bit of driving to get the gold.

Best of luck in the area.
