The Crazy's Will Be Out Tomorrow Night

Post  Wombat on Tue Jan 30, 2018 8:19 pm

This Wednesday night you will be able to see the Moon go through 3 different faces. A full Super Moon, a total Lunar Elclipes, and a Blue Moon. This starts to happen from about 8.30 pm till about 12.30am. This happens just once every 150 years.
So look out the crazy's will be about.  V10  T26  T29  V33 V20

Nightjar, I use a Canon 5D Mack III, with a 300mm lens, this is the setting: ISO 200, f/16, 1sec., I would have post one of my pictures, but I don't know how to do it. Cheers

My daughter in Sidany reminded of the eclipse on the night but I still forgot about it and went ta bed.
Eclipses! Ere shmere. Seen one you have seen em all; Although  on one occasion when looking through my 6 inch reflector scope, I did see a dark object scoot across the face of the moon during an eclipse. It was of irregular shape and  took approx 1 second to transit. alien alien alien alien

Nice pic NJ
I can see 10 stars in that pic.

Thanks willo (Ian), great pic of the blood Moon during the eclipse. We had similar conditions, but at least it did clear up a bit, thanks again for sharing your pics. Very Happy

Cheers.

Mike.
