One small piece
G'day all, well I decided to hit the fields again today (almost was going fishing) and after a long day swinging the 18" NF in an area I'd got a few from before all I had doug was junk.
Off to another spot I had sighted on another trip, on the way there I found some diggings I didn't know about and was going to stop but thought stick to the plan. I arrived at the location and there was plenty of trash targets there and met two blokes from Horsham that had just bought 5000's and were on thier way back from the training day in Talbot and both of them were chasing thier first piece.
So headed back to the newly discovered diggings, on with the 11" mono.
There were a few scrape holes around the place and things were quiet, I was about to hit the road when bingo...a small 0.40gram piece at about 6 inches popped it's head out. There is no footage of this dig as I was over the rubbish targets.

Cheers

Re: One small piece
nice to find a bit after a hard days work, would have been interesting to see if the 18" would have picked up that bit at that depth.

It was fairly faint but enough to pull me up, I thought it may have been a ground noise at first until I did a boot scrape of leaves and grass.

Re: One small piece
Nice one GoldstalkerGPX.
I find it incredible the difference it can make just by kicking a few leaves and such out of the way, even though it makes perfect sense.
And it pays off too.
Bet that turned the frown upside down
