Trash and Treasure on the heaps..Now with PHOTO

Went out in the Triangle yesterday and decided to work some mullock heaps...Well after digging up lots of reburied trash targets..(I take the trash with me)...well i nearly gave up but decided to clean the heap of targets...I`m so glad i did as after digging down 12 inches out popped a nice 6 gram nugget and another bit of rusty trash was also in that hole.....Do the hard yards and sometimes reap the rewards

awesome stuff Eureka Dreams, if you can put up with getting all the rubbish out off a spot it can pay off. i have done this befor but the gold wasn't as big just gram bits and subs...great work well done ....need a picture....

Thanks stoppsy,yes it can be a bit daunting when you work the heaps as you know there is going to be a lot of junk there..I have dug many a deep hole for old timers junk,and i have said that it will pay off one day...but this was a heap where dug targets were left in the holes...but like you do just persevere as you never know what will turn up..Gold but am very happy it was a nice nugget..

On sunday arvo I was working the side of a small gully came across a heap of signals old rusty steel.Decided to dig them all just in case, the first one was a small nugget.Couldn,t find another though.

Eureka Dreams well done mate... thats what its about..persistance of known gold areas always pays off ay. Anytime i find lead i know im in with a good chance to find gold too because people get lazy and easily loose concentration in high junk areas...congrats mate

Well done Bill and just goes to show that persistance does pay to those who put in the hard yards. Why anyone would throw thier dug out junk back into thier hole is beyond me....Lazy, unprofessional morons and they miss out on the good stuff hey!!!!!
