X Terra 705 with gold coil

Just want to get opinions on the x terra 705 with gold coil , one member kindly suggested i buy this detector as i'm a beginner. i've just searched the net for reviews and 99% are pretty good , can someone explain the difference between this model and the GPX 4500 or SD 2200, comparing the price difference the x terra seems a bargain.

Hi blackbutt welcome to the forum mate, I own a 705 but haven't had the chance to use it all that much but it has found me my first bit of gold.
It is a VLF whereas the other machines you mention are PI.
Being a newbie myself my advice would be to do a search of this site (top right hand corner of screen) or check out this site.

I went down the same path that you're about to venture and did it recently. In the end, my partner Ange and I decided on a PI detector as we are basically only seeking gold. From what I read, and I read alot, the Xterra is an awsome coin/relic machine with the abilty to find gold. If you are looking to hit beaches etc, then that may be a good path to go down.

Just have a brief read and click the animations. Personally, I went with a GP Extreme (second hand), the step up from the SD models and seemingly easy to use from what I've seen. I pick it up in just over two weeks. Hope this gives you an understanding of the technology, as for me it was a good base to learn from.
