Handy tip to keep warm
Hey guys
Goldrocs brings up lumps of coal to put in the fire in these colder months.....works great and keeps the fire warm all day without throwing wood on all the time....the heat from the coal is great!!!!!!!!

hi skysite, yes ive always travelled with a bag of hotrocks basically for the same reason, plus they are much better coals to handle when putting them on top of the camp oven.

I agree we have 2 old steel gold pans we use to cook damper in one for the lid one for the base works a treat a takes us back to the old days LOL...Goldrocs pulled them out last trip when we forgot the trays to cook in...we will be trying a roast dinner this weekend...its a great idea and a bit of fun..ill see if goldrocs can put some photos up of this trip

Old Dave (goldrocs) is a ledgend out in the bush mate allways comes up with great ideas that are easy....
the gold pan camp oven is a great one i think he has put clips on them to clamp them shut for this weekends
roast dinner its a great space saver and lighter than a camp oven...Home made panncakes for breakfast by paula is allways great...we eat better out in the bush than we do at home....
