Post  flyspecks on Sun Jan 29, 2012 12:14 pm

Had a couple of great days out in the scrub, and meet some nice people , a new forum member BEACHGOLD , well what can i say , he's a top bloke. hope all went well at the minelab course, and hope you found something......... to wombat, golden, and phoenix, i had a wonderful time out there with you guys, got to bloody hot for me and had to give it away. on the way home i thought i would try one of my happy hunting grounds , and sure enough another one poped out. all up 1.90 grams..... i think we learnt not to go hard when its hot ,and i'm glad we just sat inthe shade and chattered about anything, as for you wombat , that wasnt a bad bottle of red mate , hope all is well with the missus. .... thanks fellas will try to catch up again soon.... cheers Smile Smile

Flyspeck, it was great catching up with you again too even though you got me into trouble, "twice", once with the misses for not getting home early on Friday night after getting stuck into your red, and then again with the ranger on Saturday Laughing Laughing Laughing Just joking mate. Smile Glad you pinged one more on the way home. The misses is fine but still going to see the Doc on Monday to make sure. It was great getting out again with you, Phoenix and Golden, but as you said to bloody hot to enjoy the whole day.
Until next time cheers Wombat Wink

Hi Flyspeck,
Was great time to catch up.Detecting was fun even i did not get any gold. Was hot but great to chat in a shade Smile
Well i found my first pigeon ring (pigeon was nowhere to be seen ) Sad
I went well prepared as was expected to be hot.Plenty of ice and full esky of cold liquid.
I hit the cobwebs couple times but thanks god the gold orb spiders are so small at this time of the year. Before going home i found a little nasty ant in my boot trying to get a lift with me.That was a very bad idea and there was not happy ending for him/her.
Stopped in Creswick for a coffee and couple pies and it was raining Question (just for a minute or two).
Came home around 4pm.
My wife came home 9pm from day out surprised how come i was home early (usually thats me coming late back from detecting)
Thanks Phoenix and Wombat for a great company. cheers
Here is a photo of the pigeon ring:
