weather has been crazy near my area. lucky i didnt go out detecting, did anyone head out and how was the weather wind etc up in the triangle areas???

i pulled the pin about 2pm. very windy , i was concerned a tree would come down. very bad EMI.
it was a nice temperature though and i got one sub grammer Very Happy

blow a dog off a chain.. bit of rain..but the 5000 was quiet as a mouse and running like a dream..(blitz coil on)in fact best its ever been???

Went out today. Were I was (Maryborough area) windy, but not strong, more like a strong breeze than a strong wind, then rained for about 15mins and then stopped. Drizzle of and on from there on, but by then I went home. Detector played up a bit,with EMI, but I had the same thing happing the day before. Todays temperature was great for detecting, tomorrow will be even better 23c.

Hi, went out today to the same place as last thursday. Started detecting about 1.00pm and packed up about 3.00pm. Where im working is in a steep valley and is protected from the wind. I found 2 more small pieces today (one was a small quartz speci) to add to thursday's 3. I'm still working within 20ft of where i park the cruiser. I only packed up because it started to rain. I will post some pictures when i've cleaned the gold up. Cheers Grumpy (Doug)
